Hope everyone is having a good summer so far :) At the end of August the 18+ Derry group called Roots are trying to organise a prayer room for either 12hrs or 24hrs depending on the venue.
We'd love to have some of the duck groups to come and visit for a while if they feel like it.
There's a great milkshake bar up the road (yes a random statement I know)
Information will be appearing on here (hopefully) but we've also got a facebook event created and this can be used to tell your friends too. If leaders want anymore info just ask!!

Hey guys, update on what's happening!
We are organising an outreach programme next weekend - the 27th and 28th of August (Fri/Sat). What we are doing is having a prayer room and cafe on the Carlisle road in Derry. The cafe will be open from 6pm to 10.30pm on Friday, and I think from 8am to 6pm on Saturday. The prayer room will be running the whole 24 hours.
We would love as many Sitting Ducks as possible to come to this event. If you are a leader and want to bring your whole group, or whether you want to come individually that would be awesome. We are asking those who want to come at night, would they please contact a member of Roots to book in, cos we are wanting to close the doors for safety reasons. If the time comes round and you haven't booked, then please just try to get our attention so that we can let you in!
Anywho, the prayer room and cafe is in a building on 40 Carlisle road. If you know where the Salvation Army building is, it's pretty near there only on the other side of the road. I think it's pretty much directly opposite the car park on Carlisle road.
Please try and make it! Free coffee (courtesy of Starbucks, thank you very much!) and buns. There will be loads of craic happening in the cafe, and prayer stations upstairs which will hopefully get you thinking! If you have never been to a prayer room before, then this is an awesome opportunity to come and see what they are all about!
