Here is a space for any of you guys who need prayer. Please post up stuff like family, friends, people you are worried about or anything that is on your mind like exams, realationships or self-esteem. It would be great even if you do not post anything on the space that you might choose something on here and pray for it. Please make sure you share appropriately and that nothing goes on here that might embarrass someone or that might be incriminating or we'll have to take you out the back and beat you up.
No posts received thumbs up, next time you see a good one, give some respect and thumb it up.

Having difficulty in becoming a member?
January 16, 2009 by dryground
If a red line shows above the user name when you try to become a member, the website is having difficulty with that particular username. Please try a different user name or use numbers instead of letters. Lefora (the techie people who know how these things work) are looking into it for us. Please don't lose heart and stop trying, but instead get creative with your username

Hey Warren,
For some reason the website won't accept certain profile names, I've played about and it will accept some. So if you want to choose a random name for yourself hopefully it will work. I've emailed the forum techy people and hope to hear back from them soon.
Very sorry about this but we would really love to be a member on the forum.

Longing for God
January 16, 2009 by dryground
Lord, you are all we want. We long for you with our whole beings.
Lord God, we want to enjoy you, to experience again your fullness, to bathe in the ocean of your love.
We long to see Jesus, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord, to contemplate his glory. Melt our hearts again to be saturated afresh with an even deeper, fuller, more joyful sense of your presence.
As we realise how securely Christ holds our lives, may we lay hold of him by faith even more firmly.
Give us hearts that have undivided loyalty, hearts that are wholly set on you.
We pray that we will come to know Jesus Christ even more deeply, that our hearts will delight more fully to act on your commands, putting them into practice to bring Christ to this world.
May our passion for you become even stronger, even deeper and even more focused.
May we cultivate the fruit of your Spirit growing in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Lord, all these things are big requests, but we thank you that you are a big God, that nothing is impossible with you.
We need all the powerful resources of your Spirit for all that you are leading us into.
Lord, we long for you so that we will give glory, honor and praise. We long for you so that we will become the people you want us to be in Christ, to realise our full potential in him. Lord, we pray for your kingdom to come. We long for you so that we may effectively take the good news of Jesus Christ to every part of your world.
Amen
Re: A prayer for exams

Before and exam
Lord, you know my thoughts are centred on the exam I've got in a few hours.
Even as I think about it - and you know I've not thought about anything else all night - there's an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach.
You know I've done some revision - but not nearly enough! - and I just feel so badly prepared.
Lord, please may some of the questions I've revised come up in the exam.
Help me, Lord, to remember all the facts I've learned; help me to concentrate and do justice to the abilities you've given me and the workd and the revision I have done.
Lord, I need to know your overruling, sovereign hand on my life.
Help, Lord!

We have some great weekends planned in 2009. For example the Confirmation Weekend, the Sitting Ducks Weekend and Summer Madness. Let's have a great year in 2009/2010, post your suggestions up here and we will have a look at what we should put in our programme for the next year.
